In the second generation, Ludwig Föbus was able to make a name for himself as a driver of innovation for foundry supplies both nationally and internationally through several groundbreaking inventions. Therefore, in 1920, the company was awarded an honorary diploma from the German iron foundry industry.

At the peak of the coal and steel industry, Föbus developed into the European market leader for core supports and cooling materials, before the company finally developed into a supplier for the entire spectrum of foundry supplies. continuously new product developments were added, that are still used today in foundries around the globe.
