Pferd rotary grinding belt tools

Abrasive belt bodies are reusable carriers for grinding belts. In the case of cylindrical bodies two versions are available in some cases.

1. GK = Slotted abrasive belt bodies
The abrasive belt is mounted on the elastic abrasive belt bodies. The slits facilitate the expansion of the body. This tensions the grinding belt and increases its elasticity. The belt is non-slip, rests snugly on the workpiece, and can therefore be used with its full width. These type is recommended if the required minimum speed is reached, can be complied with. The sanding belts can be exchanged under turning them slightly to the right. The tape change is easier when the grinding belt head is clamped.

2. A = Abrasive belt body with conical clamping basin
If the minimum speeds indicated in the tables for the slotted design is not achieved, abrasive belt bodies with conical clamping basin should be used. These give the grinding belt, independent of the achieved machine speed sufficient support.
